First Star Down is a roleplaying game with story centric design. The gameplay is non-linear. The puzzles are not puzzles. They are part of the story.
FIRST STAR DOWN was developed for the 2D point and click adventure game category. It was made by the game development company Impossible Studios.
FIRST STAR DOWN’S Interface
Character management: Character inventory
Full script: Full script is turned on. This allows you to move around the game menu.
Backward button: The back button will allow you to move backwards through your script without exiting the game.
Movement: Click on the spacebar or click with the left mouse button to move around the game.
Panel conversation: Click on the panel to talk to the characters in a panel. Only the first or last word of the panel can be moused over.
Favorites: Favorites is a list of your custom actions. You can mark them as a favorite.
Actionable items: By marking an item as an actionable item, you can pick it up, use it, or otherwise do something with it.
Health: You can use a medical kit to cure yourself or one of your crew mates.
Contents inventory: By having the content inventory open, you can search through your character inventory for random items. You can also use the inventory to replace and re-equip your current equipment.
Character window: This lets you see which weapons/items you have equipped.
Share: You can share your missions with other players and download their missions if they have saved them on their computer.
Menu: If you are using Windows 7/8 this menu will be grayed out and you will have to click the application icon to load the game menu.
Yes/No: You can click this to temporarily disable dialogue. Clicking again toggles this back on.
Ok/Cancel: Click this button when you are choosing if you want to start new or continue playing.
Fast forwarding: Sometimes it is convenient to fast forward your game. Click this to do that.
Item catalog: Click this to view the detailed description of your equipment.
Computer System Menu: Click the main menu button to check and configure the computer system.
Sound system: Click this to toggle turn up the sound.
Continue Game: This will exit First

About In-game Content:
Hundreds of images, thousands of audio files, and thousands of lines of code all exist within the digital menu of Chasm, and thus for anyone to enter or view, everything must be entered through the videogames in-game menu.
Should you wish to gain access to certain items and images within the game, simply browse the many menus that exist and find the information that you seek. You can gain access to all of the content in the game via the in-game menu, but navigating this menu may be more difficult for some as it requires certain knowledge of navigation within a videogame menu system.
Visually, everything is beautifully rendered. Text, images, sounds, and more are all superbly placed to provide the user with a wonderful playing experience.
