Hi, everyone. My name is Jim Webb and I’m a 3D game developer currently working on a political simulation game called The Race for the White House 2016, which, as you might expect, is a game about elections.
This game is inspired by real 2016 campaigns from every major party and several of the independent candidates who ran this year. I wanted to take the process and fun of a real election, as my father took part in, and extend it into a simulation video game.
The game was conceived as both a game to teach about political processes and a game to play to understand politics. My hope is that after playing the game, players will feel better informed about their favorite political candidates, and will think more critically about the subjects of science and technology policy that affect our lives everyday.
Working on this game is a wonderful experience, not only because it can be a game that allows the player to interact with the subject, but also because I get to work on games all day. The constant challenge of the game-like development of a game allows me to use my current and most passionate pursuit – game development – in a more practical and effective way than academia.

FIXED: 2 issue with a save game: after opening them, you get an error (please open the saved game again), and then the game is not working.
Fixed: the game is now more stable and compatible with Mac.
Fixed: the game now works on PCs running Windows 7, because Windows 7 has a very restrictive limit on the version of DirectX.

Train Simulator: Southern Pacific GS-4 Loco Add-On
What is it?
This add on is provided by Brett Burr. It gives a Locomotive Sequence Detector for the Southern Pacific G-S-4 unit. It is for use in Train Simulator on maps with all track types but seems to work fine with track types IV, V, and VI.
If you do not have the Southern Pacific ATC System installed (see below), you will need to enter the throttle manually using either one of the Train Simulator Throttle keys, and use the throttle to match where the Locomotive is, when you receive the throttle response from the Southern Pacific ATC System.
What does it do?
It uses the Throttle values the Southern Pacific ATC-System gives you to compare where the Locomotive is to where the Southern Pacific system thinks the Locomotive is. It then uses the Throttle values the Southern Pacific system given to you to cross check if they match, if they don’t then the Locomotive is too far South and too fast. You can use the throttle to manipulate speed to try and get them to match as well. The system is set to slow down when getting too far South or going too fast, but will not speed up. Best just use the throttle. It works on all track types in this release of Train Simulator.
