Revisitor is an exploration platformer. It’s a game I have been wanting to make for quite a while now! A game I wanted to make that would have a variety of things to offer, something that’d be easy to pick up and play, but also have enough depth and interesting gameplay elements to keep players really immersed in the world. I have been working on the game for 6 months, and have a lot of fun with it. I am still really new to game development, and learning as I go, so please bear with me. 🙂

  Generation of Goblins was a Misfits that was very reminiscent of the original clan during the generation before them. They had a Magic theme, and most importantly maybe most badass idea: Observe generation Goliath in the original post. Generation Goblin was so much better than the original Clan it was just kind of silly. Ability to return to the HQ if they get knocked down! Giant Flaming Chunks! Killing blobs? Gross!

  The original intention behind the Goblins before Generation was RGs Guns N’ Goblins. Hey the clan needed a theme, and little did they know that it would end up being just right. RGs GM just gets a little unwieldly at the end of every game. The idea behind the concept was just to have the “high risk low reward” theme rather than the random forces appearing out of nowhere. As for the bands, I can’t remember if I informed them in advance of how they were supposed to work at the time, but obviously thought of different ramifications of the design as I made it. As for the map, I wanted a new map for the clan, and several of the old maps were still good space for a clan. I didn’t want to make the clan require too much space after all. So I began the clan by trying to make the clan map to be the shortest possible one. Most areas that were suited for the clan were removed from the map instead of using the old RGs surplus map. Once the use for the map was ready I made about a dozen edits to make it the best that it was going to be. It has come a long ways since then and perhaps some part of the design will change going forward but for the most part I guess it is what it is

  I remember the first time I saw the clan. I think I was on what I think the front page of Mantis for about 45 minutes. I’ve been a Misfits player ever since. I remember then “Let’s build a clan!” and I remember thinking it was a great idea. I mean think about it: The clans that have been around since the beginning were all fun and unique and right after they start, they become a whole new game. That’s how a great clan should be made.
