While on a routine job, a small convoy was attacked by a fleet of slavers. The survivors were taken hostage, and offered a choice: work for the slavers and live, or fight for their lives and attempt escape.

The convoy’s captain took a chance on splitting off from the main group and ordering his people to fight for their lives. The ship’s crew, along with the survivors from the other ships, successfully splintered off, using only their shuttle craft for cover, to drive away the slavers.

Unfortunately for the captain’s group, there were more slavers waiting to attack them, having secured their position at the end of the convoy. As the survivors ran back to their ship, they fought the attacking slavers for their lives.

You now work as Captain of the escape vessel, serving as its pilot.

But, more slavers are still approaching. With their missiles already launched, and your crew under fire from the slavers’ artillery, you must find a way to help your crew survive.

In this, the first episode, you must:

Ignore enemy fire while evading your own

Find shelter or escape to escape the onslaught of enemy fire

Rebuild your shields with the power of life support equipment

Extend your weapons to engage the enemy

Protect your crew with the power of your shield

With your ship crawling through the red planet’s atmosphere, your shuttle should be ready to carry the surviving members of your fleet back home, but the slavers are pressing their attack, and no mercy is given to fleeing target.

Each round brings with it new challenges:

The enemies are now more heavily armed, and will use a wider range of weaponry, including remote-controlled drones and artillery.

It is increasingly difficult to see through the atmosphere, which has darkened, and the skies are torn by dangerous storms.

Your ship is carrying a greater load of passengers.

The survivors will be gradually consuming food and oxygen, and ammunition for your firearms, so you’ll need to find new sources, such as crates of food and ammo, to replenish your reserves.

If your shields begin to weaken, you’ll be mortally vulnerable to enemy fire.

A new difficulty level will be unlocked, dependent on the number of surviving crew members. The new level will have new obstacles to overcome, as well as new weapons,

It’s simple to play, but with enough features and upgrades to make it fun.The content of Cosmic Cash looks great, and playing it is even better, though the game does have some obvious shortcomings. For example, the player has limited time to complete the game and gather funds before they either lose their winnings or their ship is destroyed. This is fine as long as the player isn’t impatient, but since the player loses ships and has to purchase them back, the game can become rather repetitive. Another problem I found with the game is the lack of tutorials. The game doesn’t provide much guidance on how to play Cosmic Cash, and if you’re new to the genre, it can be confusing and frustrating. Cosmic Cash is also quite short. Since this game was released on Kickstarter and promised to be free to play, I was expecting a bit more than the simple gameplay I got.

Cosmic Cash is free to play for all ages and genders, although Cosmic Cash Free Edition contains ads which make it a bit less fun. Just like other free to play apps, the game provides tips and ways to earn money to make it easier to understand the game and to unlock new weapons, shields and upgrades, but the tips are a little sparse. There are a couple more things you can purchase with real money that don’t seem to have any real impact on the game. These aren’t necessary, so I wouldn’t buy them unless I was really bored.

Cosmic Cash might be free, but you get plenty of reason to spend your hard earned cash. There are many upgrades, weapons and shields to unlock. This is an experience packed game with a lot of depth. It’s easy to get in to and lots of fun, though there are some who might find Cosmic Cash a little repetitive. Overall Cosmic Cash is a game that’s free to play and well worth the time of the very experienced and the novice alike. Try it out. Cosmic Cash does have ads which makes it a little less fun, and players will have to spend their earnings to unlock everything.
